Acupuncture is a holistic treatment that restores the balance of body vital energy (“Qi”). According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, “Qi” flow throughout the body and its organs along the pathways called meridians. Pain and illness occur when the flow of “Qi” is blocked and imbalanced. Physical and emotional trauma, stress, poor diet or accidents, can influence the balance of “Qi”. Acupuncture, simulates the “acu-points” along the meridian by inserting sterile ultra fine disposable needles base of Yin-Yang and Five element theory, unblocked the obstr uction and balance of the life force. The treatments will restore the normal circulation of Qi, providing nourishment to cells, organs, gland, tissues and muscles. Ear with needleAuricular Acupuncture or Ear acupuncture is a form of alternative therapy base on the idea that ear is a microsystem which reflects the entire body. Acupuncture points on the ear are stimulated with fine needles, electronic stimulation, massage or the application of ear seeds. There are over 200 acupuncture points on the ear. Stimulated points trigger electrical impulses from the ear via the brain, to the corresponding part of the body being treated. Auricular acupuncture is especially effective for treating addictions and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It also helps on detoxification, stress, Insomnia, weight control, Balance blood pressure, pain management.

Scalp Acupuncture is based on elementary functional neuroanatomy, and has nothing to do with traditional Chinese medicine. If part of the brain is damaged, for instance by a stroke, then the scalp is stimulated over the damaged area of the brain. All the scalp points are representations of the underlying functional areas of the brain. It therefore follows that the most common use of scalp acupuncture will be in diseases in which there is brain damage, such as strokes or severe head injuries, although this method can be used for a variety of other conditions.

Cupping therapy is an ancient form of alternative medicine in which a local suction is created on the skin; this mobilizes blood flow in order to promote healing. Suction is created using heat (fire) or mechanical devices (pump). Through suction, the skin is gently drawn upwards by creating a vacuum in a cup over the target area of the skin. The cup stays in place for 5 to 15 mins. It treats pain, deep scar tissues in the muscles and connective tissue, muscle knots, and swelling.

Scraping (Gua Sha) is a traditional Chinese medical treatment in which a smooth edged tool is used to apply short or long strokes on the lubricated skin, typically in the area of pain or on the back parallel to the spine. The stroking motion creates redness (petechiae) or Bruising (ecchymosis) which comes from the blood stagnation in the subcutaneous tissues. Bruising caused by Gua Sha usually fades in 2-4 days. The intensity of the bruising is an indication of the severity of the toxicity, stagnation inside the body. Gua Sha is used to treat common cold, flu, bronchitis, asthma, and pain both acute and chronic. It is also used to detoxify the body by bringing the toxins to the surface of the body to be released.

Moxibustion is a heat therapy by burning of the herb mugwort. It comes in many forms and can be burned indirectly on the skin. It can also be applied to the end of inserted acupuncture needles, placed in a device and a common treatment is to fill the navel with salt, then place a slice of ginger, burn the moxa on the top for digestive problems. Moxa’s flammability and warming nature make it ideal for building up the body, warming the channels and warding off disease. Moxibustion warms the meridians and dispels cold. It can treat all diseases caused by cold, blood stagnation and blockages of the meridians, such as cold-damp arthralgia, dysmenorrhea, amenorrhea, stomachache, epigastric pain and cold herniation.

Thunder-Fire Needle Method (Pressing moxibustion) is applying Moxibustion by pressing a red hot mugwort stick (Thunder-Fire Needle) onto the painful point through a medicated cloth for nine times, each pressing should take the patient through one gate of passage. During the process, patient’s skin will turn red (warm) but should not be burned, then suddenly there is penetrating heat, the treatment is completed. The function of pressing moxibustion is to treat vacuity, coldness, and pain due to blood stasis. It can also be used on patients who are not suitable for acupuncture and on regions that are difficult or painful to needle, such as fingers, toes, bony protuberances, the palms, soles or heels
